  • Herbal medicine
    • Also called botanical medicine or phytomedicine. This refers to using a plant’s seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark, or flowers for medicinal purposes. Herbalism has a long tradition of use outside of conventional medicine. It is becoming more mainstream as improvements in analysis and quality control along with advances in clinical research show the value of herbal medicine in the treatment and prevention of disease.
  • Prescription medicine
    • Naturopathic physicians are licensed as primary care physicians and may prescribe pharmaceutical medicines when deemed appropriate just as other physicians do.
    • Many patients have preferences as to the form of medicine they prefer to take. These preferences are respected and honored as much as possible in this practice.
  • Nutritional supplements
    • Nutritional supplements are dietary additions used for many purposes. They can be added to the diet to boost overall health and energy; to provide immune system support and reduce the risks of illness and age-related conditions. They can also be used to improve performance in athletic and mental activities; and to support the healing process during illness and disease.
  • Pain relief
    • This is accomplished by application of and the appropriate use of the many treatment modalities available to the doctor.
    • This could include a singular therapy or a combination of modalities that would have a complimentary healing effect on the condition being treated.
  • Prolotherapy
    • This treatment protocol is effective for many patients suffering chronic pain resulting from repetitive motion trauma or other forms of trauma such as those caused by motor vehicle accidents.
  • Nutritional guidance
    • This includes intake, assessment, guidance and respect for patient preferences as well as additional testing to guide the doctor in recommending an appropriate direction that focuses on improved health, wellness and prevention.
  • Weight management and bioimpedence body mass analysis
    • Bioimpedence body mass analysis is a painless, computerized analysis of the patient’s body mass to determine important measurements such as lean mass, fat mass, basal metabolic rate, and other important factors.
    • This is also used to determine a patient’s present status and it also functions to provide objective feedback to patient’s as they progress in their treatment plan.
  • Heating ultrasound
    • This form of ultrasound provides deep heat and increases blood flow to improve function and heal injured tissue.
  • Electrotherapy
    • Multiple forms of electrotherapy are available. A frequently used therapy is interferential therapy which uses four electrodes to introduce therapeutic frequencies that decrease pain, relax tight muscles and improve healing.
  • Hydrocollator heat packs
    • These special clay packs are wonderful for the application of warm moist heat to decrease pain and spasm and increase blood flow.
  • Flexion-distraction treatment for low back pain
    • Flexion-distraction utilizes a special table to distract or open the spinal joints, increase mobility and reduce pain resulting from nerve compression.
  • Liquid nitrogen treatment of skin lesions
    • This is an excellent form of treatment for many different types of skin lesions. It has minimal discomfort and heals rapidly without leaving unsightly scars.
  • Type II diabetes care
    • Testing, counseling, nutritional guidance and appropriate medications in accordance with naturopathic principles all work to improve this condition and decrease the long term risks associated with this increasing common but serious condition.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders
    • Specialized testing and the application of naturopathic principles provide the means to identify and treat digestive disorders.
    • Treatment of small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO).
  • Minor surgery and skin biopsies
